Currently located in Shipshewana, IN, Nature’s Comfort began in Lancaster, WI by Dave Nyhof and his son Eric in November of 2006. Their original interest in alternative heating and energy savings started during the 30 years Dave was in the domestic house construction market. Dave began by creating a corn heating system for his own use after the aggravation of not having the ability to keep their present system performing well. Soon after that he began selling another name brand of outdoor wood heating systems. After losing the ability to satisfy his sales orders, due to his suppliers not staying up to date with customer requirements, Dave developed his own alternative heating system to meet his responsibility to customer’s demands, and meet the quality expectations of from his clients.

The NCB-175 and NCB-250 were the very first designs constructed. These were the foundation for what evolved over the years as increasingly more demand came in for various heating needs.
